About Us

Dear future scientists and engineers,

Somewhere right now, a kid is taking a radio apart just to see how it works. Another is sketching a robot in the margin of a maths worksheet. Another is wondering why code that looks right still refuses to run. If that sounds like you, this letter is for you.

We are Intelligena LLC, a small California company that builds software. We are dedicated to the education of technically creative young people, and we started building the sites you are visiting because of one belief: genius is spread evenly across the world, but access to knowledge is not. Talent is never the thing that is missing. What is missing, too often, is a good teacher, a working laptop, an expensive kit, or simply someone saying yes, you can learn this, and here is where to begin.

We wanted to give back in a way that matters, and for a company like ours that means the thing we know how to do. Not a slogan and not a donation box, but real tools and real lessons, built with care and put where anyone with a browser can use them, so that a young person with a big idea can get the knowledge to make it real.

What Hammersmythe Robotics is, and how you use it

Hammersmythe Robotics is a free robotics simulator that runs entirely in your web browser. You write Python using the VEXcode V5 command set, press Run, and watch a physically simulated robot obey you in a 3D world.

Two robots. Drive a rolling mobile robot with the full V5 sensor suite around a field of objects and obstacles, or program a 5-axis robotic arm that picks up, moves and places objects with an electromagnet.
Three ways to write the same Python. Drag blocks together, drag real commands from a searchable library into the editor, or simply type. The file you save is always ordinary .py, and you can move between the three at any time.
Your work stays yours. Load a program from your computer and save it back to it. It works offline once loaded, needs no install, and asks for no account.

There is no sign-in and we collect no student data: nobody has to give a name or an email address to use it.

Our promise to you

We will keep building for you. Every lesson, exercise and tool here exists for a young person to learn something they could not do yesterday.
We will be honest about how it works, including what we collect and why. We never sell personal information, and you can read every policy in plain view under All policies.
We will listen. If something is confusing, broken or missing, tell us at support@hammersmythe.com. A student's complaint is the most useful thing we can receive.

You will make mistakes here, and that is the point. Every engineer whose work you admire has debugged something at midnight that would not behave. Keep going. The world has problems that are waiting for exactly the way you think, and we cannot wait to see what you build.
